Clearly this is super late, but better late than never. We celebrated Bennett big 2 year with a family swim day at the rec center. This was Lance's first trip coming with us and I would like to say it was pretty successful. Bennett and Jill both had a blast jumping and splashing away. Bennett even has the courage to go down the "big" kid slide by himself several times.
The following weekend we had a big party with our friends and family. We ate delicious puppy themed foods and enjoyed one another company.
Bennett is two going on 12. He loves playing any sport with a ball- golf, baseball, basketball, football. He is always an eager helper. Anytime I'm doing anything in the kitchen Bennett is within arms reach to "me help me help." He is a whopping 3 ft tall and 30lbs fitting in 2t clothes and size 8-9 shoes (clearly he is going to be tall). He has loved having our fall display on the porch. Every time he's out there he picks up a pumpkin and brings it to us. Bennett has most definitely hit the "twos" in that everything revolves around him, but that is as to be expected. He has had a few "adventures" which have ended as well as they possibly could of including running into the road (like way down another street) after letting Ellie out the front door, climbing on the roof of our house as Lance was putting up Christmas lights (yes.. like 14 ft in the air), ect.
(scared of the fire until Lance taught him to blow it out.. and then he wanted to keep relighting his candle)
