Save The Date

After brainstorming Lance and I thought the best idea for a Save the Date would be a magnet. First of all, I had really never thought of sending out save the dates because I never saw the purpose of them, but after thinking about our wedding date I decided it was a good idea.
1. We are getting married on the Thursday before a 3 day weekend for those in Utah
2. I have family from all over the world who needed a heads up on everything
3. It's in the middle of the summer

Therefore, Lance and I designed this MAGNETS as Save the Dates that way everyone can remember when we're getting married, and won't lose it!

We're ENGAGED!!

So Lance and Christine are FINALLY engaged! After a fun weekend in March driving from Utah to Las Vegas, to California, to Las Vegas, and finally back to Utah, we were able to convince Christine's parents that a wedding was in the near future.

On March 26, 2010 Lance proposed.

Lance decided to take me to lunch at Chilli's and after he told me to just meet him at his house so we could watch a movie and just hang out. However, as we were driving home, he let me lead and somehow got out of my sight. I ended up back at his house without him. I walked into his room and saw roses, and a bunch of cards with a camcorder sitting on his bed. I read the first letter which informed me that I was going on a scavenger hunt. I took everything and got in the car. Each card led me to a strange destination and he told me I had to record myself completing the tasks. The last card (#12) led me back to his house. I walked in and a candlelit dinner was set up with cheesecake! I set the camera down and in he walked. He left a box on the table (that i thought was a ring box... but i didn't understand why he was giving it to me) and asked me to open it. Inside was a piece of paper which he read to me. The paper was a story of how we first met and how he never thought we would be sitting where we were. At the end of him reading it I was in tears and then he got down on one knee and proposed!!!

This is what I saw when I entered his room...
Roses, a camcorder, and a bunch of cards with Lance no where in sight.

When I arrived back at Lance's house after the long scavenger hunt on a freezing Utah day in March, there were candles, rose petals, and my favorite orange roses sitting on a table in the living room. Lance greeted me and this is what he said before he got down on one knee.

After my three hour scavenger hunt, the girl got the prize!!
